This wonderfully traditional vintage Samarkand suzani measures 64 inches x 86 inches. Beautifully rendered in silk embroidery on silk/cotton foundation in rusty reds, blues, greens, and golds on ivory.

The pattern is the four flowers surrounding a central rosette, rosettes are ringed with vines and smaller repeats of four motifs around a central rosette are positioned around the suzani. A beautiful example of a historic pattern. Excellent quality in excellent condition.
